Photography Tuition & Courses
Pixels and light offer tuition and courses to new comers to photography and novices, with an emphasis on hands on practical experience rather than technical classroom teaching. Our courses can be tailored to your individual needs and can be run for individuals as well as small groups of up to 10 people.
1 to 1 tuition includes anything from a 2 hour session costing from £45 and covering camera familiarisation and basic techniques for taking landscape photographs up to 1 to 1 tuition over a weekend in a location of your choice. A typical weekend of tuition would include some discussion on basic techniques including camera familiarisation, exposure control, digital process, lighting equipment and composition followed by hands on photography at location or locations of either your choice of our recommendation. We would hope to cover a mixture of coastal, land and river photography from dawn through to dusk.
The session or weekend can also be tailored to include for guidance on post capture processes such as image storage and archive, digital manipulation (photoshop) and printing.
In addition to 1 to 1 tuition we also provide group courses of 1 day and weekend duration. The course content is not dis-similar to the weekend 1 to 1 tuition above and can be tailored to the preferences of the group. The weekend courses can be held in Sussex, the Lake District and Cornwall, are generally residential with the group staying in local B&B's or hotels and cater for groups of between 2 and 10.
Costs start at £340 per person for the weekend course including accomodation and transport.
